Members

The Estonian Furniture Industry Association is an open organisation and must have at least five members. Membership is open to employers in Estonia operating in wood processing, furniture manufacturing and sales, as well as in the production, mediation, sale, and training related to equipment and materials in this sector. The association’s membership is divided into full members and supporting members. Supporting members participate in decision-making at the general meeting in an advisory capacity and are not counted when determining representation at the general meeting. Members of the Estonian Furniture Industry Association may include furniture manufacturers, wood processors, sales companies (furniture, equipment, materials), educators in the field of wood processing, and manufacturers of equipment and materials.

  • Marketing (e.g. organisational branding);

 Partners

The Estonian Furniture Industry Association develops mutually beneficial relationships with partners selected based on shared objectives. To achieve these common goals, the association works closely with its partners.

Partners may include:

  • Other professional and industry associations, including in particular the Estonian Forest and Wood Industries Association and the Estonian Wooden Houses Association, as well as the Estonian Employers’ Confederation, the Estonian Foreign Trade Association (EVL), and the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI);
  • Companies in the wood and furniture industry interested in cooperation with EMTL and potential new members;
  • Educational institutions providing training in wood processing professions, including in particular universities (e.g. Tallinn University of Technology) and vocational schools, in cooperation to promote vocational education and the awarding of carpenter qualifications;
  • Companies manufacturing and supplying equipment and materials;
  • Institutions supporting development projects, including in particular the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS);
  • Trade union organisations (e.g. the Estonian Forest Workers’ Union);
  • Consulting firms;
  • Estonian public sector institutions;
  • International organisations;
  • Training providers, financial institutions, insurance companies, labour law advisory firms, and law firms;

A partner may:

  • Enter into a cooperation agreement with the Estonian Furniture Industry Association for a specific joint activity carried out over a defined period;
  • Be involved with the Estonian Furniture Industry Association during the implementation period of a joint project;
  • Cooperate with the Estonian Furniture Industry Association in the context of one-off events (e.g. a joint seminar).

The Estonian Furniture Industry Association collaborates with partners in order to:

  • Provide broader opportunities for its members;
  • Enhance the reputation of the Estonian Furniture Industry Association and the industry, while also raising awareness of its challenges;
  • Address many issues more efficiently and with fewer resources;
  • Focus on core professional issues without being distracted by the numerous matters of adjacent fields.
